despite the bleh array of demos, this new Source Audio ZIO jawn (Shoe Pedals content) seems interesting/useful :idk: :snax:

Sounds pretty decent despite yawn vids, and I did think that before picking up on the Shoe input. I peeked at the product page and was a bit surprised there wasn’t any digital control of settings—it would have filled a bit of the niche of the (discontinued) CBA Condor and fit into SA’s ecosystem. So, I dunno, a little pricey for what it is is my very shallow impression.

yeah, tho my guess is adding midi control would have pushed the price into my uh-uh zone, regardless of added utility
as it is, i could maybe see grabbing one down the line at a deep-ish discount or on the flip....
my crazy feature request would have been an unbuffered loop for fuzzzzz :idk: bc this would always be a special use pedal otherwise - so i agree the price is maybe too high (though i imagine the four discrete circuits bit would make bring the price down much further difficult)
idk tho - given that the buffer only works when the pedal is engaged, this is easily worked around if it really does sound good in yer rig for those (hopefully rare) non-fuzz moments
on review, i can see how this pedal is going to get lost in my indecision loop after all

Gibson unveiled the initial products from their revitalized Maestro line today.

They're $149 each, except for the Discoverer Delay which is $159. There's also an OD and a somewhat hi-gain distortion.

interesting - there was a lot of speculation over on the Leer Stage that Gibson was going to come in at the premium end on these. Of course, I haven't even looked closely at what they are beyond that price point so :snax: reserved for now....

erm...was kinda hoping for a phaser or so :idk:

Looks like 5 more Maestro pedz on the way later this year and a Custom Shop.
I'm going to own an FZ-M.

I dig the look of those Maestro pedals and at that price I'd be interested in grabbing the delay at least for sure

That’s not all, though: Gibson has announced a second batch of five pedals will join the burgeoning Master Original Collection later this year, with a Maestro Custom Shop Collection – made up of ultra-limited pedals built to the precise specs of the originals – also currently in the works.

that maestro delay does seem cool! must be using coolaudio BBD chips? i like the modulation switch with internal rate and speed controls. seems great for a gigging board where you don't want too many knobs.

Source Audio will bring back the reflex expression pedal and that gets me really exited.

yeah - great piece of kit, tho mine has always had cranky noise problem situations with certain pedals, which not even the claimed firmware fixes solved, so hopefully they have fine-tuned that jawn :snax:

Those Maestro pedals are really nice. The first Gibson stuff that I would buy. But I'd rather like to see reincarnations of the Ringmodulator, Envelope Modifier, Phase Shifter, Octave Box and the Brassmaster. :snax:
