Finally moved in the new house last sunday.
Spent last week disassembling-moving-reassemblig furniture and moving boxes with a temperature of 35°C, don't think i ever sweated so much in my entire life.
Everything is a mess, there are boxes everywhere and a lot of stuff to do, but the hardest part is done, and it's finally a HUGE RELIEF as we were supposed to move at the end of april if it wasn't for COVID.

:joy: :omg: :!!!:

Gonna be more present here once i sort a couple more things out - like, internet connection  .

I was about to post this in the "other" thread, but honestly, I think it is better to laugh about it. February 2019, I won a very nice pedal in a contest: a Veri-Tone Fuzz-Arka. Due to my living situation, I was unable to use it until yesterday. I sat on a fuzz pedal for 18 months. I wired everything up in the afternoon, clicked on the pedal. It lit up, but there was no sound. I was frustrated, sweaty, and my glasses kept sliding off my face to the floor. Then, I realized something. It had been so long since I used a pedal, or an amp, that I had run the chain backwards. I swapped it and made a glorious sound. I felt like such a ding-dong until this morning. I can actually plug my guitar into my gear, again. I have a place in my life for that again. I was able to afford a OneSpot. I was able to fire up the Excelsior. I'm in a better place.

The Fuzz-Arka is a nice little fuzzer. It has a lot of the Fuzzrite nastiness I love and is a good match for my amp. I still need a delay and overdrive for my post-punk glories, but a silicon fuzz and a BF-2 goes a long way.
My force of habit, I am an insect
I have to confess I'm proud as hell of that fact

Hope you're all fine, stay safe and see you on the board.

that is good shit

I debated posting this in the frustration thread, but I think moving forward might actually be cool and good. After today I am unemployed, again. Hopefully I can find something actually nice and fulfilling and that pays a little so I don't have to be so broke. Gonna take this time in unemployment to do some off-jobs, try to write a little on my book idea, and go to the gym.

Although, that I am posting in this thread just means I woke up on my good side this morning. A lot of the time there is a loads of dread, already I have been rejected from multiple places and dealing with the rollercoaster of hope and disappointment is not something I look forward to

Tonight I was playing music for only a half of an hour and after I was done I got the best feeling.

I really love playing bass again.

I am starting to really love music again.

I feel like something wonderful came back to me in a way I never thought. I even told my mom I would never play again.

But here I am playing bass and instead of dogging myself for what I am not, I think of what I did and what I am doing now and I realized that while I am not a uber mega musician, I played shows, recorded, owned rad shit, and the bass for better or worse has followed me through myself. I have accomplished a LOT more than what I lead myself to believe.

And I am back here with you rad fuzz loving, gas inducing, shredders you.

I had this done about two months ago and it was like someone removed a low-pass filter from my ears! :thumb:
