Finally made sense of the obtuse and frustrating MPC500 I have and have been having a ton of fun actually practicing the songs I want to be playing live, enough to actually start talking to promoters etc, kind of exciting to be starting from rock bottom again in a new country.

The deep depression wave seems to have lulled a bit too, I can sleep for more than three hours at a time now and don't feel atrabilious as fuck all the time. Whether it's just the eye of the storm or things are going back to the usual, tolerable moderate depression or not I don't know but I don't plan on questioning it too much.

I couldn't figure out why the fuck my Valve Jr produced no sound until I looked at the fuse holder thingies. The plastic connectors on one broke and no longer pressed the fuse against the contacts. Duct tape seems to be working temporarily.

If only my two other amps were such a simple fix... it's been soooo long since I could play through something that wasn't a shitty starter combo.

‘I didn’t. I said ‘duck.”

‘Oh. Ok. *snore.*’

Hehe. I remember the "go the fuck to sleep" days all to well.. quite recently. My boy now almost 6 sleeps like a boss. He wakes up early regardless .. but lucky for me I'm lame and go to bed at like 9..

Helped with a benefit show last night headlined by Ty Segall. It was awesome, smooth, raised a bunch of money and Ty sounded great. I don't ever throw on his albums but live it was really fun!
