My wife started rewatching TNG on Netflix and now she wants to hear all my very in depth opinions and observations about characters, socio-political themes and how the movies compare/relate.

took my cat to the vet this morning for her checkup and rabies shot. She has a chronic intestinal problem, and had gotten awfully skinny when we put her on steroids a year ago. Since then she's gained back a pound of the weight she lost, and the vet says she can live a normal lifespan. which is wonderful, because ever since she got down to six pounds i've worried she was going to die. happy cat!

So I'm finally done with all of my commitments to my old band, I tore my old pedalboard and setup apart, built my new pedalboard for my new band, and I'm selling all of the leftovers. Such a huge weight off my shoulders. I'm freaking pumped! :animal: :animal: :animal: :animal: :animal:

I have decided to restart my pedal review blog, once I have an amp. I miss writing and I love pedals, so it is a good combination. Thanks to aen for inadvertently inspiring me.

Have been blessed with posivibes recently.

Managing anxiety nonsense without having to take anything, stable career while gaining leadership roles, finally on track with my finance/savings and have been building mecha models. It would've been nicer to sort out this shit earlier, but everyone takes their own time to get their shit sorted. :idk:

saw dangers with my bandmates tonight. show was epic as hell, totally let loose, which i really needed, and pretty much lost my voice. but after talking with justin before the show started, we caught up, talked gear nerd shit, i told him about my band and my bandmates who he's known for years. he's apparently stoked we're playing in a band again and wants to play with us.

Today was not a good day, but I dare not call it a bad one. It could have ended tragically and I am consoled that it did not. This morning, I took my dog Lilly out running errands with me, as I have almost every time I have run errands since she came into my life. She loves riding in the car.
As we drove on the back roads of Paris, KY looking for garage sales, I heard a sound and turned to the passenger seat. She was gone. My eyes darted to the rearview mirror and I saw a sight that has burned itself into my mind. My beloved hound, my co-pilot, flipping end over end on the shoulder of the road.
I immediately stopped the car and was relieved to see her up and walking, without a limp. As I got closer, I saw blood streaming from her face. She had a pair of vicious cuts over her eyes and was covered in scrapes. I lifted her into the passenger seat and drove her to a nearby vet.
Covered in blood and shaking, I felt lucky when I saw that the 'Open' sign was flipped and there was life inside. I brought her in and... I'm not going to talk about the treatment I was given by the vet office. We will not be returning and I am pretty pissed off, but now is not the time.
I'm thankful that she is alive and well. She has stitches in her face and painkillers to take for the next week. Lilly's tail is wagging and she is back by my side. We could have lost a family member today and we did not. That is enough to keep this from being a bad day.
