For the record, covering test cricket would be one of my childhood dream jobs.

Thank so much! We're very happy, things are slowly coming together. We want to get married on Halloween (not sure which year yet), so, if any of you know of any cool haunted houses that'd host weddings in your area, pm me about it :thumb:

congrats on the engagement 01010111 :)

been kinda MIA here for the past couple weeks because I've been kinda playing hooky from work & getting some new things up and running. Been busy, but I miss you guys.
Last week I played a set w my old emo/indie/rock? band (former roommates & best friends) for the first time since last March. We spent a few weekends working on it, as our drummer was back and forth between Dallas to visit fam and Austin where he lives now. Anywho, we played what must've been our tightest set ever as a group (we'd played probably 20 shows before we split?) and it was honestly the only really great gigging experience I've had playing songs (rather than improv) in quite some time. Damn I missed that shit.
The gig was with my favorite musician, Spencer Radcliffe and his band Everyone Else, who were on tour with another really sick band called Horse Jumper of Love from Boston. The show was last Tuesday, but they all got in Sunday night, so we hung out for 2 days. They found a sick lake that I'd never heard of, and my dog learned to swim after 3 years of scattered efforts to teach her. She took to it immediately and was swimming 100 feet off the shore by herself (supervised) within 30 minutes. It was wild.
Bands were cool. Show was great. Made new friends. Everyone loved my from-scratch beet burgers. One of the best times of my life for sure.

Also PCBs are in for my first original design so I get to rush home after work and try to populate it before a meeting with an old professor tonight :yay:

Two solid interviews in a week and I should get another by the end of this one. I'm hoping that the first one sends me an offer. I loved the company, the team, and I believe in the product. I want it bad.

Despite all the bad shit that's happened in the last 6 months, I'm happy. I am looking at my kids right now typing this. They really make a difference in my life. I love those little turds.

So I finally have a job after 6 months of unemployment. :idk:

Not exactly what I was looking for, but also not some terrible soul sucking thing and pay is decent...so...yeah.

I suppose I should feel relieved.

The good news is all but one feature works on the PCBs. Said feature might actually work, but could be wired up incorrectly. I'll find out this afternoon hopefully.

GOING TO SEE SIGUR ROS TONIGHT. haven't kept up with their stuff and don't really care to, but this i'm real stoked to see them finally.

Yeah dude, I've been following your stuff too. I'm stoked to see what you come up with.

I just defended my thesis last week and passed! I've had this awkward three year masters thing going where I had to do literally all of my research in this last semester, and that shit is finally done! Just a few more edits and I can submit and get the fuck out, I am so burnt out it's ridiculous. My girlfriend might be getting a job that can carry my unemployed ass up to Manchester NH which I'm stoked about, and I can start building again!
