What pure joy to be gobsmacked by total fucking commitment. Hell, gobsmacked ain't right. Sunn O))) just flipped over every one of my cells, smacked them in the ass with a laser-gloved paw, and tossed them back to do whatever the fuck cells are supposed to do now.

Thank you and good night.

sunn is no joke live. I remember running into Author & Punisher in the back of the venue during their set at swtf "normal people cannot tolerate that shit" while grabbing his head like a mad man trying to count all the tones
i'm glad i can call you a friend. even if i'll never see you again

Love that image. :D Started out squeezed into the far back right (where the door is  late arrival during last song of opening band ) but it seemed like a full third of the people on the floor pussied out, and by the end I was more than halfway to the stage and the Iranian guy next to me had pulled out his ponytail and was whipping his hair back and forth. I got up to 367 before losing count of all the overtones; never got started on the undertones. Never did see kbit though. :idk: No Ilfadelphia meetup this time....

Gone from hopeless on my job hunt to multiple interviews set for next week. I'd rather just be done with this and have a job, but an upswing is nice.

Kewl dood. Link? (Still gotta read Nils' thesis, but would like to be able to get to yours.)

(And by 'link' I mean can you send a link, not 'open invitation to disappear into Zelda for the rest of your life.')

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

Friend of mine owns a house. He has been renting it to my bandmate for awhile. We practice in the finished basement. Said friend decided to sell the house so we propositioned party/house show since basement is connected via garage and nobody really needs to go into the house -- but people did since so much stuff was moved out anyway.

We opened the show since we're a relatively new band. Also the show included only two other bands, both do which included members that were previous tenants of the house. Both the other bands were varying flavors of pop-punk. We're definitely on the heavy side and utilize vocals styles typical to heavy music.

I play guitar and do all the primary vocals and this was only my second ever time playing guitar in front of an audience. First song I was hella nervous but we ripped through that song perfectly and the jitters went away.

Our set is about 30-minutes. We had a handful of missed notes here and there but I otherwise felt quite good about the set. Got some positive affirmation from some people I didn't know. All in all, 10/10, would play again.

It's not out until it's all over an done sometime in june, I think. I could send it to you if you want to read it, though. And also, Zelda is the rest of my life now, nothing else matters (as Metullicuh once said).

Getting married in an hour and a half and thinking about fuzz pedals. Just had a deep tissue massage and a single malt Scotch.
