Android/Chrome OS DAW options???

Postby ck3 » Mon Sep 07, 2020 10:10 pm

Managing to successfully work/game on Chromebooks and Android devices, but unsure how to optimally record/produce non-beats-based music with them. Which software and peripheral options, if any, are ILF'ers utilizing at present? I tried Soundtrap about 2 years ago with an Acer Chromebook 14, and the latency was heinous.

Linux is definitely an option, and research after my initial post confirmed there are backdoor means of using it to install DAWs, though the process appears complicated and functionality of programs like Audacity and Reaper may be limited. I actually ended up breaking down and purchasing another PC laptop for home recording.
