The Colossus was designed to be a big massive wall of doom. No subtlety required or desired. :)

The Iron Bell is more refined. It's more open sounding, it uses more hi-fi caps, different transistors, select carbon comp resistors, and several other things. The Colour knob affects the mids, but it's a different type of filter than the Colossus.

I love them both, but they're significantly different.
