probably gonna buy the new live Mainliner album Makoto Kawabata was posting, too

Sahel Sounds made all their albums name your price for bandcamp day. If you haven't listened to Les Filles de Illighadad...

Good hauls today! Some stuff I grabbed:

Nilan Perera - harmless love (+ demixes)
Expanded re-issue of a 2003 album from a local legend of prepared guitar (and other guitar strategies) with remix translations from some of his peers.

VA - Exquisite Departures
A whole bunch of the coolest folks in Toronto's weird/out/creative communities were gathered together for this "exquisite corpse"-style recording project, with excellent results. Includes videos created alongside the music.

Lee Paradise - The Fink
Groovy butt-wigglin' electro-rock from Dan Lee (Hooded Fang/Phèdre). Out on the esteeemed Telephone Explosion label, who have had a hot year.

VA - 3-Module Challenge Fundraising Compilation - Toronto Edition
Title says it all. Many notable names from the local modular synth community on this one, with monies raised going to Black Women In Motion.

Jonathan Adjemian - Acquiescence
New piano music from a fabulous composer/improviser/piano party thrower.

duo (electroacoustic vibration exploration): https://wenderlypark.bandcamp.com/
trio (tapes/voice/clarinet/synth/poems): https://ourwaytofall.bandcamp.com/
band (spontaneous kosmische): https://stargoon.bandcamp.com/

New Year, same deal.

Shallow North Dakota are fantastic, and less fantastically, their singer has stage 4 cancer, so all of their records, a split with Ken Mode and KWC, plus 2 live sets are up online with all proceeds going to that. Highly recommend if you like the noise rock. Everyone likes the noise rock I think.

Also finally got around to listening to the newest Hey Colossus front to back and it's a belter, so snagged a vinyl copy as well:

good deals are here.
escapecraft is here.

New Weather Station is out today.

https://theweatherstation.bandcamp.com/album/ignorance

That's the biggest news. I'll probably add some more links here once I've gone through my list and all the announcement emails in my inbox.

Okay, a few things I grabbed today...

New one from Sandy Ewen & Weasel Walter.

Some clean, precision rock-bursts from Freelove Fenner. (Maybe like early Stereolab writing two-minute psych nuggets?)

Vintage New Age from David Casper.

And to top up the ambient tank, a really good deal on Music For Sleep's discography.

Oh, by the way, we had a digital purchase for our collectively-assembled ambient Okta project the other day, so I'd be happy if I had another one so I could combine them into one contribution to the ILF hosting fund!
