Track two features an oscillating fuzz. Sounds like a DF or TGD type to me!!!!!

*edit* it also sounds liek he says "Pretty pedals/on the floor/ something something/ but i stil need more" hahahaha, I understand Trez.

First couple listens have left a good impression. Discipline fits better with this when listened in the album context.
Now to grab the 24/96 filez.

Awesome. Two albums within two months that make me take back everything I've been saying and thinking about Mr. T. Rizzle for a while.

I wonder what artist would post the most albums if they were to have the studio, gear and give-out-free technology (server stuff) that he has. Half-assed "ironic" albums doesen't count as I'm guessing Trent doesen't say "this track is done" after take two.
John Frusciante gave out six albums in six months, most of them are good. And all of them are well done.

Love most of the music on those Frusciante albums - now. I remember taking extra time between the albums to slowly digest the matierial. Lots of songs that I didn't really care for back then are some my fav now, as it can be with great music.

It's interesting to see how the role, presentation & perception of the musician is changing within this relative short time. I don't know if all currently successful (working) artists would want or could handle the responsibility that is Independence, but time would provide a model for them to work after. Smaller web-labels could help these transitioning artists to handle most of the stuff that the NIN camp seems to have covered. NIN has pretty much always had an In-house, DIY way of working, so I think their transition was a natural step once Trent became a free agent. The internet has been the unused gerilla radio, the new flier and the new T-Shirt for a decade or so, and it's not until recently that record companies might get a hint of it's potential to reach their audience instead of turning them into witch hunt victims. It'll be interesting to see how it all develops.

Shit, I'd have NO problem putting out that much music in his position. No kids, no "job" nothing left on the earth to buy in the studio, and all the help you could imagine.... Shit, I could do a record a week.

Didn't the (motherfucking) eagles work ona record for like 9 years or something?

I'm enjoying some of the tunes off of The Slip, but I still yearn for the electro brilliance that was The Downward Spiral era. I didn't care much for Year Zero, but Ghosts is the shit! NIN can be a mixed bag at times, but I still keep coming home for dinner when the bell rings...
