Hadn't heard of that but looks like maybe! I guess vidret would still want a preamp in front of it but I say

ADD IT TO YE LIST

I have the Radar and like it well enough as an auxiliary amp & cab sim, but wouldn't want it as my one and only. The Orange sim is really good. The headphone out is handy. The app for editing is not great, but it's mostly a set it and forget it pedal for me, so I just ran through and saved a handful of tweakings, and haven't messed with that part since.

May have to accidentally grab one of these...

On the real, it looks to have a bunch of features but it doesn’t feel like it’s in the same category.
Have you used it?

Sounds like someone thinks they're too good for mooer... :whateva:

Jokes aside, I've never tried it... I just always thought it looked kind of nifty and that it might be a decent compact solution for direct recording (ie. better than the free amp sims I use in ableton), maybe combined with another mini mooer preamp... :poke:
I get it might not be in the same league as what you're looking for, was just curious if someone else might have some thoughts on it.

I definitely find it intriguing. The editing sounds annoying but this is definitely something I'd use like set and forget so probably OK.

Delighted to have found this thread. I have a Strymon Iridium in my sights for the guerrilla gigs planned with the new jawns.

I can vouch for the Cab M. Sounds amazing, great reverbs, headphone out and aux in. I built a Dumble preamp with submini tubes in a pedal to go with it and I'm in headphone heaven. Great way to go. Now I'm looking to add a Class D pedal power amp so I can skip my amp altogether if I want.

Cool! Very snazzy preamp there. That pedal + a class D power sounds like a pretty great portable rig. Guess it has the benefit of keeping a similar sound from the headphone playing too?

I remember some of you guys wanted the Olympic MkIIIS samples. I've just recorded some: https://hearthis.at/cscd/set/bass-shift ... d-carcosa/

There's a super handy widget at shift-line.com which allows you to add power amp emulations to cab impulses. Of course, I immediately slapped the 6550 Overloaded (the craziest one) onto an Ampeg 8x10, and it fucking dooms.

Threw in the DOD Carcosa for good measure; for simplicity's sake, I used the same settings (in the pic) in every sample featuring it. Bass, mids and treble on the Olympic are fully clockwise in all samples for the same reason. In practice, I found that cutting a lot of treble on the Olympic worked best for me when using it at higher gain settings with fuzz, but YMMV.

I was playing my Yamaha BB235, which isn't a great bass by any means — but to my ears it sounds surprisingly beefy with this setup.

Please excuse the sloppy playing — haven't had time to grab the bass in ages!

While I love my element - I am still trying to wrap my head around how to use this in just a jam situation. Do I buy my own power amp and speaker cab or do I amp hop ( use some one else’s rig, I don’t ever see my self preforming live any time soon)

If you know you can rely on other people to provide amps then use theirs (ask first haha). If you don't wanna be an amp mooch then yeah getting a power and and cab is the move, if you wanna keep the element tone but loud.

Bumpin ye olde thread becuz.....

Why didn't anybody mention the Sansamp Classic 2021/2 Reissue yvette?

Image

And how nobody else seemed to clone it closely in the years between the OG & the anniversary silver reissue, either?

I know from earlier in the thread that other Sansamp choices have bean made (all excellent), but is this Classic still the grail? The Cobain machine? The Only Everything everything?

Or has it bean surpassed? Do I need to check out the CabDryVr instead? My best/only direct line out is any Digitech series pedal (Screamin' Blues or Le Grunge), so your collective DI-influenced wisdom is appreciated, as always :)*

I also have been upgraded :hello:

I was using the darkglass element but its features and over all presentation of the pedal really never won me over. They added pre-amp but a lot of them didnt give me toans that I nessicarly wanted and quite frankly was kind of boring.

The Two Notes Cab M is three times better, in both terms of features and interface. I have been using the stock cab emulations since I got it in my SS gift ( cosmicevan, I fukkin love you) and they sound WAY better to my deaf ears. My musical direction has drastically changed as I am full in to guitar mode and have not picked up my bass in a hot minuet but that being said I really love its feature set. Plus it seams they have a LOT on the website on IR's that you can download, I have not gone down that rabbit hole just yet but I am sure that I will.

TDLR - Cam M rules - highly recommend.

I really hate my Cab DryVR, sounds muffled (it may be user error). I will send it to you if you want to audition it.

I use a Sans Amp Para Driver which seems to work very well (I don’t have great ears though). The instructions say to put it first in the chain as an OD, but it seems to work well as the last thing in line before my DAC (an old Echo Audiofire 2, which is FireWire only)

(I may have already posted all that, sorry if so)
