...and this x0xb0x, which is a TB-303 clone. So I can drop two tabs with this and the TB-3 running simultaneously if I ever need to lower the pH scale drastically:

...and, uh, does this count? I almost forgot about this bad boy. This only gets unlocked and brought out for the heaviest sessions:

Maximum respect to the great Pablo, his son Addis, Mitchie Williams, and all those guys. I've been to Rockers on Orange St in Kingston a number of times on my JA voyages.

Arturia just sweetened up my christmas. They're still giving me updates for Analog Lab, because I have a beat up old Keylab 49 (original version). Now, I was plenty satisfied with Analog Lab 4...Buchla, Synthi, Arp and Matrix emulations, DX7, Oberheim, Moog Modular, Pigments etc...an absolute treasure chest of synth sounds, with a jaw dropping 6800 presets. I never even thought about how they could make it any better. Now they have given me Analog Lab V, which only (yeah ONLY) has 2393 presets...but a lot of them are new patches for the Buchla, Synthi and Pigments, which only had a handful of patches each in v4, and my copy of v4 with the full 6800 presets still works fine too. There are also some new synths in the V collection that weren't in v4: a Juno 6, Vocoder, and Emulator II. The Emulator II is a godsend, comes with lots of great workstation sounds like you would expect from a Triton or a Motif. There are also lots of new drum kits and patches, and new preset categories. The addition of the Emulator really takes the whole package to the next level. The Vocoder is also very cool, just a little heavy on silly DJ patches. I can't think of anything that even competes as a total package. If you love presets, it's just the motherlode. :!!!:

Don't have a good pic just yet, but now tinkering with a Yamaha MX61 presently wired up to a Rocktron Velocity 300 and Line 6 Spider cab in stereo. It seemed like a decent entry-level workstation option based on what was available thru Amazon within budget limits. Just need to RTFM, so guitar backing track creation via sequencing can begin.

Local craigslist had a listing for a couple broken synths, one of which was a Korg DW-8000. I broke down and contacted the seller because I still regret selling my DW-8000 in the late 90s.

Turns out the seller is an old friend, so I came home with both synths. I'm told the PSU of the Korg is missing a transistor and the voice PCB is cracked with broken traces, the Ensoniq has some logic issue fucking stuff up. More fodder for mister fixit I guess.

I've got to get off my ass and bring to reality that what has been quoted through existence.

nice!! I often regret selling my ESQ-1, my first proper synth. There is a VFX for sale locally for $175, unfortunately it's the first model without the sequencer....
Ensoniq as a brand has such a sweet future-retro vibe.

I eventually put together my rack and finalized my synth setup for now:

Signalflow is
E-Mu Vintage Keys => TC G-Sharp => Digitech Jamman => Mixer
Moog Sub 37 (with Elka DP-18 Midi bass pedal) => Lexicon Mx200 => Cosmic AE-7000 => Mixer

The Cosmic AE-7000 is a combined analog delay and spring reverb unit from the 80's and sounds just utterly fantastic with the Moog. :joy:

Ordered a Strega and No Ctrl. Rearranged things so now I have this semi modular goodness:

Still have a DX7, Keystep Pro, and Organelle (plus my mixer and some pedals) on my other table too, but that deserves some rearranging before I take any pictures.
