Anyone tried playing guitar or bass through the rossum morpheus?
Since it seems to be more for sound tailoring then regular filter, I think it might be really cool as an effect for external signal. Right?

i agree - it is cool for simulating imaginary "bodies" tho gain-staging is kinda fussy :snax:

My friend just got a hydrasynth and loves it. Some of what he's recorded sounds amazing. If only I wasn't still sucked into modular land....

Speaking of... got into jazz lately and I have some very generous friends and got to borrow a Metropolix and ACL Sinfonion. One thing led to another and I ended up patching/sequencing/programing Giant Steps by John Coltrane. I was interested in trying out something that had lots of chords in different keys. So I ended up with two "soloing" instruments plus chords and drums:

And if you're curious, I also did a video walking through the patch to explain it more (in super off the cuff one take holding the phone and talking mode ):

Just bought a piston honda mk3 on MW, should get it in a week or two I guess. Also should receive a Stillson Hammer mk2 tomorrow or the day after :joy:

Going for bionic lester mk3 and kermit mk3 or mk2 next :excellent:

dag! i'm trying to avoid diving into that particular rabbit hole, as cool as they all seem. for some reason, Bionic Lester is the one that tempts me the most (but then i'll get distracted by the Synchrodyne, look at the prices for all of 'em and back the hell off  )

Found a kermit mk2 (the guy will only shi next week tho :( ). Not as powerfull as the mk3 but more reasonable, this is getting quite expensive with the PH, SH and the meridian bass :p

bionic lester mk3 is some kind of ultimate form digital filter I think.
The i/o is great and so is the layout, good choice duder.

I also think the kermit mk2 looks a bit more usable than the kermit mk3; mk2 is like a basic hertz donut mk2 with less FM options but more LFO advantages.

I used to have the stillson hammer mk2 but coming back to a page not knowing the slider values and trying to read that screen got a bit annoying when you set up more advanced stuff. For extended/advanced jams it's incredible, love the sliders - especially the sliders for the gates and how a full on gate ties to the next step, it's 10/10 for that.

Enjoy your unreasonably cool and expensive new IME modules :!!!:

Thanks!

I just received the Stillson Hammer and am already having alot of fun!
It is such a different and more enjoyable workflow then the nerdseq. I'll keep the nerdseq for chords, euclidean rhythms, envelopes, samples and all that good stuff tho.
The combination of both will be amazing!

Can't wait for the PH and kermit now! :yay:

I think the best of both worlds would be the nerdseq screen and the stillson hammer sliders; it's easier to get an intuitive jam going on the hammer but tweaking is a lot better in nerdseq.

So I am a fucking maniac who can't be stopped

I ordered a Bionic Lester MK3 from Signal Sounds and bought a Rossum Linnaeus from some guy on MW... Still waiting for PHmk3. That updated system is going to be absolute bliss! :!!!:

Oh and received the Kermit yesterday!

Here is what it will look like (I also have an AJH gemini and Entropic doom, a Zzzorb and Xtreme filter but I'll try to sell them, along with the quad adsr, and get a Maths, some fx like mimeophon or MFX from ALM and aone or two more mixing modules like from intellijel or something).

Edit: Just received Piston Honda mk3!! It is so good :!!!:
Can definitely see myself tweaking sliders and knobs for hours
