For some reason and for some time already I am not able to see video's anymore on this forum. Videos on other website are not a problem. I've got rid of cookies and tried other things to no avail

Yeah, that's weird, I could see that video when I previewed it, but now it's not showing up...?

works fine for me?

of course i can't freaking find the email with the builders or the small company with my vaguely worded google searches, but there was a NEAT small builder desktop synth that was a spring reverb with i think tuned band eq's and a feedback circuit to play different tones of reverbs, with or without input. was pretty excited about it, but it's been months since i jumped on the Please Let Me Know When It's Available list. dunno if it's still happening.

i like Huang. he's a damn good musician. what me makes isn't really my jam, but he comes from some noisy experimental stuff, so his take on gear is always fun to listen to.

This is why I put a contact mic on the bridge of my jaguar, the long strings behind the bridge do actually make a weird reverb. It can be a fun sound/texture to run into stuff.

something i always wanted to do was put a tiny thin pickup under the headstock, behind the CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME OF WHERE THE STRINGS REST AT THE TOP OF THE NECK and the tuning keys. be able to record tiny little strings getting moved by strumming the main long bois.

atonal messiness yes please.

The nut

And yeah that's exactly what this does, only it's a bit longer than behind the nut on most guitars, plus doesn't need a cable running down the neck

It's gotten kind of big.... top 2 rows are a wall mounted case, middle row is a Happy Ending Kit, bottom two rows are the bottom half of my 12U travel case. The Sport Mod I don't have yet, but it'll go where that switch and mult are.

So I still have 6U 104 I *could* fill out. Fuck.

I'll let you know about the Data Behndy. Obviously SOMEONE here likes it. But also my friend "Anxiety Machine" has one and uses it to great effect. I think he'll have some music out that relies heavily on it.

EDIT: YOU'D THINK I'D REMEMBER AN ACTUAL LINK: http://modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/851029

How do you want for anything, I’m jelly.
How much of it can/do you use at once? What do you use all them envelopes for (I mean anything, but why so much ADSR)

Thoughts on FX in Euro, you use pedals?
Will want a review on the sport mod 2 later, I’ve been on the fence about because space, but it seems like a perfect waste of money.

Some of it is that I tend to get narrow minded about how I use stuff and end up just buying more. And then come back to the older thing later and find a new way. A lot is also that I like having a library of things to pick from. I don't always feel like I have to use everything I have... but that took a while to learn. And when I play out, I only take a subset. But it's nice to have everything available when creating. I can rearrange for a gig later.

The envelopes are because I really love that envelope and the ridiculous amount of control and WMD stopped making them and was selling them super cheap. But they're way more than ADSR, there's like 10 modes including some weird ones that need triggers to advance the section of the envelope. They simplified it with Javelin, but it's not the same.

I still do like some pedals, but I've been getting more into the euro FX realm for the control and immediacy that having it in your rack provides. There's just weird shit you can do with a flanger when it's under CV. I know my effects have some overlap, but again, not everything gets used all the time.

murrrr. thinking about selling all my shizz and getting out of modular. feels like i just have it to look cool. i never turn it on, when i do i get frustrated it doesn't do the things i like in software/hardware synths, and i kinda built... a big ungainly.... hardware drum machine and synth.

thing is, if i sell stuff, i want to sell it ALL. just get completely out of it. cases and everything. i know me. if i keep a small chunk of effects or a tiny noise drone box, i'm going to go to more. that i do not even use.

the things modular excels at and is worth having over traditional synths... i don't do.

giving it a week or two more to percolate. don't want to regret moving stuff, but i've felt like this for awhile.

also, ZERO regrets i got into modular. taught me so much about synthesis i didn't even know that i didn't know. rekindled my love of doing electronic musics. just don't think it's for me now.

:o good to figure out what works for you I guess! No point keeping stuff if it does not spark joy and you don't think it will spark joy in the future

This is a key thing though. If you're certain for good reasons you'll never want it ever again, sell. But if you might want to play in a year and don't need the cash, why not keep? :idk: the inspiration cycle is real

for shiggs. i feel the Everything In Cycles when doing creative stuff, but i'm not going to move anything i can't replace. i've been looking at stuff and a 1u skiff as a Weird Pedalboard Of Effects is a solid idea. i think i can do that and not go butts deep building a synth/drum machine i never touch.

probably going to part out and list stuff next weekend.

mannnnnn i have a few cases. with art bits sprayed on the back. that i'm attached to but ugh. never going to use a 124 7u case. and NOT looking forward to shipping cases.

I am in a similar situation, I barely play with my euro system.

I am having alot of fun this week with the MPC and newly acquire Virus Indigo 2. Making some BoC vibes tracks. I still won't sell everything but I already have a few modules I don't really use for sale.

I am trying to think of a way to integrate the euro with my mpc and synth but I can't really find one for now. I could simply do a mono synth but I can do that with the mpc and the virus. Fx box? Yeah that is cool but I already have alot of fx with the mpc and I have a quadraverb too so... Some kind of sampling setup (like a nerdseq, which I already have and I could buy an assimil8or?), but will I really get something the mpc can't do? I guess cv changing the sounds for fucked up drums could be cool but would I really do it?...
