If they were trying to spell "Pollen" they should have taken a poll amongst a group of copy editors and proofreaders.
Well, we've got an LA-based company with Spanish roots doing their take on a Portuguese-speaking music scene...

Abelha is Portuguese for bee, and polen is the Spanish equivalency for pollen. Personally, I would've advocated for sticking with Portuguese and used pólen.

So what we've got is an Abuela fuzz making polenta.

Or an Avó brewing up some milho frito.

Sounds deliciously confusing.

Puremagnetik drops Drejin, "a grain silhouette shaper." It's the fourth plugin to feature Micah's new slider interface. For a limited time, Drejin is only $9. It seems this format is really allowing him to crank out a lot of new stuff for supporters (Patreon or purchases of the one-time Century Pass).

Aperuit is only $1 (name-your-price) through January 20th and comes with Larum's new release Live at Public Records | The Music of Hildegard von Bingen available now on Bandcamp.

Other recent releases--

Gales | Warped Cartridge Echo (multi-tap, tape-inspired delay with digital effects like comb filtering. It blurs the line between lo-fi/vintage analog and digital smearing). https://puremagnetik.com/products/gales ... ton-device

Stages | Golden Ratio Delay (multi-tap delay based on the golden ratio principal. It's bundled in with a digital Bandcamp release, so spend $8 or more on the digital album & you'll get Stages.) https://anmoku.bandcamp.com/album/shapes-for-a-name https://puremagnetik.com/products/stage ... atio-delay

Are you advocating for stompbox Unicode, and if so, are you volunteering polen to become the angzarr?

If Beetronix is going for a polyglot poeticism then they probably should make that seem actually intentional.

If "polen" refers to polenta, fine. Who doesn't like corn with lots of butter and cheese in it?

If that is supposed to refer to the Portuguese word for pollen, "pólen", then why not have the accent there?
And have the accent on "néctar" and call the third mode "mel" instead of "honey" and keep everything on "fuzz flavors" toggle in Portuguese?

Why not have "zumbida" and "alta" and "baixa" and "agudas" knobs instead of "buzz" and "loud" and "lo" and "hi" knobs?

Why not call the jacks at the top of the pedal "saída" and "entrada" instead of "out" and "in"?

As it is the intent of Buzztronics seems unclear and the delivery sort of sloppy and haphazard.

Salut: I did see a pre-rocked Beetronics thing at GC once, and it shore was priddy, but still a whollop on ye restive pocketbook. Cool enuff, but I'm trying to keep my RNC Really Nice Compressor on me board, ferchrissakes!

Keep it ugly, keep 'em cheep, DOSS BS-1 :trippy:

I've enjoyed the Swarm (their PLL). It sounds quite nice on drum machines. I'd say it rates well, compared to the Data Corrupter and the Mantic Flex Pro.

--Nevuh owned tha Seabee, but that arpeggiating chorus is probably the closest thing you can find to a Subdecay Starlight DLX.

Also, I'd like to grab the Royal Jelly for bassy synth parts and fuzzed-out pianos. :hobbes:

EQD is revisiting Eurorack.
The Wave Transformer is an analog, vintage-voiced, voltage-controlled oscillator with over 8 octaves of accurate pitch tracking. It has 7 simultaneous wave outputs, including a unique Complex output.

when was the last time EQD did something new and interesting rather than using less-than-fabulous concepts lifted from others? has to be before lockdown at this point.

I’ve been bored of EQD for quite a while. I will say that boring is sometimes okay, though: I picked up a Special Cranker from an IG last year and it’s definitely not bad, even if it doesn’t blow my socks off. It does some far-short-of-fuzz fuzzy drive stuff perfectly pleasantly and is cheap even without a sale or coupon. If an ILF-er needed to replace the PLL to jam Tom Petty and Wilco with a brother-in-law, it’d be more natural than a TS. (And man does it suck not having the Mini in production to recommend.)

Fender dropped the Switchboard Effects Operator today, in advance of WNAMM--
FX Pedal Switcher with 5 Rearrangeable FX Loops, 500 User Presets, LCD Screen, I/O Buffering, MIDI Out, USB-C, and Footswitch and Expression Pedal Connections
(shipping immediately at $449 USD, approx $649 AUD, €425)

Walrus unveiled the standard finish Meraki (māre-uh-kī). I don't know how many people care about true stereo in, but I don't think they'll have trouble moving these, despite the $600 tag. ($510 during 15% off) :idk:

Because of long part lead times and the extra build time these require, the Meraki will be released in a few small batches throughout each year. Batch One is limited to 135 units worldwide.

Mu-Tron's going to be showing two prototypes off at WNAMM.

The Multi-Filter, code name DualTron, puts 2 Mu-Tron III pedals into one box. It also includes the optical Wah-Wah circuit of the legendary Mu-Tron VolWah and the routing of the BiPhase. We even threw in an LFO with its own pedal rate control.

Gamechanger unveils 3 modular-inspired pedals, that are aimed at facilitating greater dynamic control. (delay, verb, chorus/flange) Pricing & availability are to be announced soon.

You can cross-patch from one unit to another and there will be dual/stacking cables as well. I'm curious to see how people respond to them, because the initial sounds and applications seem more geared to really anal session players, rather than the more experimental tribe that I would associate with Gamechanger's previous releases. The algorithms aren't cutting-edge. The package is more like classic effects, but with a modular-inspired twist to get your pedals 'talking' to each other.

Newfangled Audio + Eventide are gearing up to drop what looks like a dual-delay plugin on Tuesday. It appears you'll have a lot of creative options for altering the decay and character of the repeats. :snax:
