Atmosphere Question.

Postby Adoom » Wed Jun 24, 2020 2:39 am

I was going to buy a Neunaber like a bum but I didn’t know about the Atmosphere until now.

I’ve been away.

My question is, I don’t have a computer, or plans to get one for a while. Am I missing out on much?

So, the Tremolessence has been my favourite thing for years and Ryan builds amazing stuff. Can I access all the (or even enough) functionality or will I have to annoy my friend to use his computer to do stuff? I’m a tweaker, I like to get down inbetween songs and change bits.

I’m sure the pedal is deep, but is it on the fly accessible?

I lost my violin in a fire, so I’m playing guitar now. Whatever version of the Tremolessence I have is such a big deal to me that my predictive text function on my phone knows where I’m going after Tre.
I play.

No need for a computer at all.
One of the things i love the most about it it that it has a lot of features but they're all immediate and easily accessible, without any need to hook it up to a computer.
The 8 knobs are right here to be tweaked whenever you want, the description of the two patch-related knobs is on the screen so everytime you change from one patch to another you know what they do, and the remaining 6 knobs are common to all the programs (Mix, Tone, Volume, Decay, Resolution).
The only secondary menu is to choose the kind of LFO and what parameters are affected by it, and to decide the behaviour of the footswitches as you prefer, so all things that are usually done before starting to play.
Presets help a lot too if you want to change patches on the fly during shows without having to re-tweak all the knobs.

I’ve been geeking over it and it seems all too perfect.

Literally too perfect. Do I need to make a daughter I have to sacrifice?

Ryan does not fuck around.

Also, thank you heaps, this affirms my need. It’s now rational.

legitimate rational GAS.

after i wrote that post i realized one thing: I don't know if the knobs affect the parameters even when the pedals is turned off. I mean, it seems obvious but i just never checked because i always tweak them while the reverb is on. I don't have the board with me now but i'm gonna check tonight or tomorrow and report back.

UPDATE: just checked, obviously the knobs affect the parameters even when it's turned off (I'd have been surprised if they didn't) :thumb:

It’s moved from possible Neunaber substitution to absolutely my next acquisition.

I had my eye an a Gretch but that can wait.

This is what I want in my life.
