My bitquest pedal is buzzing hard :(

Postby Eltralu » Sat Apr 20, 2019 1:03 pm

Hello ;

I have a little problem with my bitquest ;

It grrs and buzzs a lot ; With Mix on wet signal only it is just a ggrrrr-ing Hell.

Have tried with DC supply alone, and supplied by a Voodoo Lab generator, so guess power supply is out of risk.
My guess would be unpleasant dust, but moving the pots dont maeke any difference or cracking sound when pasing the dusty position....

Tried to clean it but most of the pots and unaccessible, and I wanted to hear of any advice before entering a quest of saving my bitquest and maybe losing it :idk:

Yeah, that's gonna be hard to troubleshoot via internet.
It works bypassed?
With wet on zero and dry on, it sounds normal?
Does the grrrrzzzz occur on both fuzz and clean mode?
Any particular patch?

Yeah, I dont know if my description id understandable,

But thanks anyway for trying to help :love:

- No noise when by-passed
- Noise present with fuzz / clean and any patch
- I guess circuit is bypassed on dry mode, so the sound remains clean ; it is while the efects more present that is begins like a buzz to finish like a grrr (starts bzzing around halfway between dry and wet (moist I presume??)

I have a doubt on the switch by following this path but try to have others opinions before starting operating :
