Anyone still using the Elements? Anyone have a good setting for Steve Vai's ultra saturated lightning in a bottle sound?

I just got my elements today in the mail after wanting one for quite a while. I used sylnau's and ryan's slayer/high gain setting from page one, but I have the mix around 55%... with a mini overdrive (at low gain, high volume) before it. huuuuge!

Yeah, I love that stuff too! Maybe some The Thing That Should Not Be into the opening groove of Hell Awaits... let's do it buddy!

I always put the mids knob either all the way up or all the way down, all the best sounds are at the midrange extremes if you ask me.

Good question, Tim.. I'd probably start in high gain mode, gain all the way up, clipping middle, mix all the way up, bass toggle down, bass knob at noon, mids knob all the way down, treble at noon, mids toggle up or down... I think that would rip and grind hard and be a perfect bass tone for all genres of music.

not sure why it took me so long to get into the Elements.

i gotta say it's one of very few fuzz/od/dist pedals that sound good into clean on my amp without pushing it into "FUCK YOU NEIGHBOR" levels of volume.

also, it's not actually on my pedalboard. it's the only thing to make my dano amp sound FUCKING AWESOME with headphones that it's single handedly increased my spur of the moment metal-after-12-o'-clock by a gazillion percentages. brutal sound.
