I'm curious about this... have been a member of the forum since September and have quickly gotten to know a lot of you via ILF, but has anyone ever hung out beyond the virtual fuzz world...??

I have the pleasure of announcing that, thanks to ILF, i know the secret identity of one Steevdeadman.... cool dude.....

seems like at some point i may meet up with a few more of you..... likewise if you are ever in the NYC area and want a free beer... PM!

I'm fairly new here, so I can't say I've yet had the pleasure of meeting any of you face-to-face but I have met some ppl from other boards, with good results. It'd be cool to have an ILF gathering, though. We could have a great big group hug. lol.

I'll be taking you up on that free beer offer one day, Stanimal. heh.

no i have not meet any ilfers in real life. i have run into more people that used to live in chicago land here than people that still do!

there are quite a few people here that i would love to have a drink with!

Jrmy and I met up at a bar in Providence last fall to see Leastwise's band. It was a fun night, ILFers seem be really cool people almost as a rule.

Some friends of mine are in a band from Philly. I went to see them play here in Virginia a couple weeks ago.

They were playing with some other bands from Philly. I noticed one of the guitarists had a BIT and an Ab-Synth on his board. I was like "This dude's gotta be from ILF."

And it was ... WIZARD!

And as mentioned above, I also met jrmy and bigchiefbc when they came to see my band play in Providence. Cool dudes.

You know what's a very cool thought? That us ILF'rs all use similar gear in various ways. A well trained ear could probably pick out a fellow ILF'r just based on the effects he/she uses.

That was one of my favorite nights out in a while... although I still feel slightly guilty about having to duck out before your set started.

Assuming that everything goes according to plan, I will be hanging out with both Jdavyd and BigChiefBC in June (our bands will hopefully all be playing together)... and I hope to have drinks with BCBC again - that man knows his beer!

That's the plan here, too. We're hoping to have another 4 or 5 songs done by then, and then iron out the whole "reproducing this shit live somehow" problem

MM fixed my Twin Reverb.

And Wiz recorded my band's first single. It was a lotta fun.
We just need to finish mixing, send it out for mastering, and it'll be available for you dudes to download.
