Conan will be just fine. He made more money last year than you will make in your entire life.

Not worried about him making money. Worried about Conan entertaining me.

actually. i think it is rather ironic that this controversial stalemate is even possible for a show on broadcast television now. it seems odd. i can still remember when there was a controversy b/w Letterman & Leno re: who would fill the Tonight Show spot when Johnny Carson RIP'd & really all parties kind of benefited from it & Conan took over Letterman's spot at NBC. my whole thing is who is really to fault for this whole thing. NBC. why did Leno leave in the 1st place. why isn't NBC sticking w/ Conan. transitions like that take time so why NBC would want to see instant results is stoopid.

anyway. i really don't like the Jimmy Fallon show. i abhor everything about that show. the set. the Roots as teh haus band. Jimmy Fallon as a late nite host. not having "cool" bands play like Letterman & Conan did at that time slot. i mean; basically, i have NO IDEA what is going on @ this point becuz i spend all my time wasting my life away in front a CPU so i am kind of out-of-teh-loop television-wise...WTF...???

:idk:

I disagree with everything said here. The Pixies, Cold War Kids, Hockey, and this one band I can't remember the name of but they were fuzzy and offset guitars and I couldn't understand what the dude was singing about. I thought he had a nice variety of music even though Conan pretty much stuck with rock/country acts during his late night show.

Jawbox played Fallon. That's enough for me.

That said, I will miss Conan. Even though I'm so old and lame, I never stay up late enough to watch any of them.

This too. couldn't think of their name. They should have jawbox on one more time and reunite jawbreaker and have a Box Breaker Bash.

I've never watched Fallon, but when I saw him do a certain song pretending to be Neil Young, his show has to be good.

Or even J. Robbins and Blake Schwarzenbach's post-"jaw" bands: Burning Airlines and Jets to Brazil. Or all four! For an Airborne Box Event!

Sonic Youth played the Jimmy Fallon show. but i think y'all are missing teh point: Letterman & Conan--at that time slot--had a penchant for having showcasing newish emerging talent. Conan was really good at that. Letterman still kind of does it on teh CBS show although its moar confined to NY bands & eastcoasthype. i'm not talking about well established bands, most of which already have moar than a few lateniteappearances undertheirbelt.

:)

This is a true fact, and it's most unfortunate that yet another venue for emerging bands may well be going off the networks.
