Let's go with heresy: got a UA Enigmatic '82 (fake Dumble construction set)

Couldn't say no, been tempted for a while just to see what I could do with one. The 'Dumble construction set' in the deep dive is what sold me on it, but sadly I can't play with that for a few days because I apparently have NO USB-C cables in house. Go figure. Got it running as it was out of the box without deep dive, and initial report is that it does in fact do what it says on the tin (and far more than bluz lawyering).

Harmonics are batshit stupid, that is when you hit it with a HM-2W.

And we won't talk about the Test Pattern from Hell/Pest Tattern frying into it.

it smooths out some of the gated choppiness there quite nicely and gives a little more playable envelope (and triggers batshit harmonics if you are so inclined as well).

Is it worth $350 (sale)? Probably...but I'm the boy who has everything already and I'm not trying to get a 'one rig to rule them all'.

Running with a fake tweed Deluxe in stereo is glorious as well.

Will update once I have the editor running

I love to hate on the dumble obsession some people have, as well as the whole trainswreck thing. However, it (well, both amps) is one of the few actually different and interesting amps design wise.

Yea, I don't have the fixation on anything but "good" Fender 6L6 beasts, and that's the basis of the Dumble crap by and large. It's taking that and going places, which was why the UA pedal got my interest.

I must say after getting a USB-C cable (as a PC dude, I don't have any, as my phone is from the stone age) to update the firmware so I can use the editor on the app (which isn't really necessary for most things TBH - once I'd gone through the menu, I found "my sounds' and likely won't be changing except as I'd tweak knobs on the amp).

Sound quality is flat out amazing (both DI and into a PA or the Mustang V head and stereo 4x12 with the now-vintagey Fender amp models (still useable, but...)

No complaints at all.

Not cheap at $349 on "sale" but...it's making me considering redoing the end of my 'small board' that it's on in full stereo as the last few pedals including it are all stereo.

The H9/Space Echo/Enigmatic/SDE-3000D are all stereo and have some neat tricks.

I've resisted doing a stereo board but...this may break my resolve there.

They're exquisitely harmonic lettuces, made of non-organic components picked by enslaved suffering minions.
