sorry i've been absent for awhile. i've been trying to readjust after being involved in a huge multi-vehicle black ice pile-up on the freeway just east of Waynesboro, VA. i hit the rear corner of a semi which was stopped dead in the road; if i'd been 18 inches to the left i'd have been decapitated. as you might imagine, this has fucked with my head pretty good. it happened Sunday morning before last, and i'm still rattled...having somehow finagled my way into another car, i spent most of the holiday weekend driving around trying not to think about stuff. every time i see the photos of the wreck i'm more astonished that i'm still here.

I hope you can find a way to process this. I can't even imagine how much of a freak out it would be to flash back to that.

Cars are intense. I know you're a Marc Bolan fan like me... it always makes me a little sad how he loved cars, wrote about cars, didn't know how to drive... died in car crash.

Years ago I totaled my car in a rainstorm. It was frightening and fucked with my head for a while. Hang in there, you will get back to normal eventually.
