ISO signal-destroying pedals

as the title says, i'm looking for suggestions for pedals that complete destroy input signals and spit out sputtering gated white noise chaos. not looking for ring mods or robot noises.

for point of reference, i have have DOD Buzz Box clone, and while it helps get me there, i end up combining it with an input triggered white noise generator and as well as octave up fuzz to get cut up the signal further and spit out random chunks of white noise.

what pedals do you like or know of that can achieve that on their own?

i'll start the list. these two look like contenders:

Dwarfcraft The Great Destroyer
Death By Audio Absolute Destruction

MASF Thornoscillator should be right up your alley if I understand you correctly. The 4ms Noise Swash should also be of interest. Man, typing that out made me miss both of those.

El Diablo Amps / Tastemaker Audio HEQ1
Devi Ever Synth Mangler, Bit Mangler, Dream Mangler, Destructo Noctavia, and old Effector 13 Aenima pedals. Anything with a chaos/noise switch. Also older White Spider pedals that have three knobs and a flipswitch.
The Syle/Holowon Furr Fuzz, Mind Eraser
Mountainking Decomposer
Mask Audio No.
Definitely something Lastgasp Art Laboratories
Boss PS-2 delay modes if you want to loop something until it turns to digital filth
Mellowtone Wolf Computer

And uh definitely get a feedback loop.

How much of the original signal do you want intact? Presumably a portion of the amplitude quotient is important (and do you wish for a subservient silence when you're not playing?) or you'd be happy with a simple noise generator. Is fundamental pitch important? I'm assuming that any "nuance" from pick or fingers can simply be thrown away. What about dynamics? Is the bog standard biased gate "on/off" enough, or would you benefit from strata? That last question is probably out of place if you crave a simple nuclear blast.

edit: do you in any way, now or ever, want the pedal to have something even remotely resembling a clean range at one end of the controls?

Unpleasant Surprise by Fairfield? Definitely can get very nasty gated tones. Lots of room for experimentation despite only two knobs. I love mine.

DOD Death Metal is always a nasty choice. I’m a biased fanatic for it but it really does have a certain magic quality that a lot of ugly distortion can’t even touch. I use a minimum of two (sometimes four) in any setup to magically alter the EQ to my liking.

Get a Fab Tone. It will destroy your signal both with its ridiculous amount of distortion and also in bypass with its terrible buffer.

Pedals that come to mind:
Bitquest
Geiger counter
#rip.
Some fuzzes in a feedback looper
Noise swash
RMA monobius

excellent questions. thanks for asking....:
i want very little of my signal to be recognizable. i really want it translated to cut up noise.
it would be nice to have the option to have no input = either silence or squealing feedback. i would like the option of having the gating be fairly dynamic, though an element of randomness is welcome...

The sounds of that Thornoscillator sound right up my alley. it sounds as if there is a gate that let's out noise when there is little to no input.
i'm looking for a pedal that can do the opposite (or ALSO do the opposite) - that is generate noise blasts from input signals and then sputters to silence and/or squealing feedback when there is little or no input.

i have a Fab Tone, but that's way too tame.
i'm actually currently using a input triggered white noise generator that runs into a "Buzz Box" AND a French Toast pedal (octave up fuzz), both of which are in a feedback looper.
that should give some indication of the type of signal destruction i'm looking for.

wow thanks. will check these out.
in the meantime, any particular Lastgasp?

The Mid-Fi Glitch Computer completely destroys your signal when you turn the blend knob all the way up and the tracking knob all the way off. Just a mess of arpeggiated bleeps and noise.

Devi Test Pattern (good luck finding one). You can have an improved version built (I had one custom-done with a ton more options). Shortwave hell to sputtering splat, and everything in between.

I stopped looking for sonic destroyers after mine was built. (I have an original as well)

In my not-so-humble opinion, the Hax 2 (ring mod/filter) would go very well with a Great Destroyer :)
