any one know the best place to sell off old coins....i really hate ebay...but gotta do what I gotta... $$ $$ the struggle.

you can try a local coin shop, we have a few in this area, or craigs.

Or toss in BST is probably fine, it's not gear but you can list jordans so coins are probably good

If you’re in one of the major cities in Texas, there’s probably a shop you could sell them to. Obviously individual sales will get you more in return, though. :/

Coin shops will rip you off for sure. I've thought about this a ton as well because I have quite a few old coins. I've decided to just hang onto them and probably pass them onto my kids. It's like stamps...son of a bitch. I used to collect fucking stamps when I was a kid. Sigh.

I just won a sheet of stamps at a basket raffle (my kids toss tickets at everything) no idea what to do with them

that was my first thought...on a quick google search and ebay glancing I find a nice range of pricing but need to do more research
some gold buffalo's are going for thousands with lots of bidders on ebay...but the back of the coin posted there seems to be different than mine lol if I could make that much off one coin............................................

I have a local coin/gold place and they gave me a good deal on buying a gold Buffalo coin that was my dad’s. I mean had I sold it on eBay I would have gotten less. It really depends on the place. I lucked out with them being honest.

If you still had the stamps, you could try using them all to mail yourself to Japan. That would cost down on your trip cost and allow you for more modular cello stuff.
