So...
My 15 year old son has been obsessed with Sweden since he was 7 or 8. He's had a goal to one day go to college there. As much as I've tried to beat it out of him, he persists.
My wife and I thought for a Christmas present this year we'd give him a trip to Sweden. He and I would probably go sometime in June next year, maybe for a week or so. I wanted to get an idea of some cool things to do and see. We'll definitely go to Stockholm. He likes amusement parks -- I think there's a good one in Gothenberg?
What else? He's into biking, music. I wouldn't mind catching the 'midnight sun'
Thanks bunches for any suggestions.

If I did that I have a feeling social services would be waiting for me at customs when we got back.

Gothenburg is 300 funny units of measurement from Stockholm. But the west coast is nice.
You could easily spend a week checking out stuff in and around Stockholm.
Would he bring his mountain bike or be looking to rent one? Dunno if you can but maybe? Where there's a will there's a way.
Is he cool with being in the outdoors?
Museums?
Food?
What sort of music?
There's heaps of good summer music festivals around the place - it could be fun timing it in with a festival or something.
Come to my place and jam

Yeah, we're not sure if we want to spend too much time traveling once we're there, but if it's worth it, we'll do it.
We'd definitely rent bikes.
He's cool with being outdoors but is more of indoor person. We'll definitely do some museums and see some of the historical stuff in stockholm.
Oooo music festivals--that would be cool. He's into alt / indie stuff right now but has a soft spot for nirvana / alice in chains and that type of 90s stuff.
If we come to your place and jam, we may not leave.

Do you accept the risk?

"D.o.S." really stands for "Doctor of Swedish (fish)" or something.

Yeah and if he has questions about how any of that works you can direct questions to me
Otherwise, Stockholm is nice and pretty. It's def a good idea to go in the summer, so you get those long nights and some light. Maybe do a day trip out to the archipelago (boats should go to Sandhamn, Vaxholm or Utö). Compared to America, amusement parks are.... bad. There's one in Stockholm as well, but if he
likes amusement parks it will most likely just prove to be a disappointment.
There is a guitar pedal store on Södermannagatan 16, called these goes to 11. It's nothing special by international standards i guess but they are very friendly and you can try some boutique stuff there.

Growing mullets and being drunk will help you fit in. Also make sure to try their delicacy called surströmming, it's delicious.
