Hello old friend.
Here, come on, have a seat. Right there in that rocking chair. Notice how the arms are worn in just right, the stain on them worn yet still just barely hanging on? Isn't that great?
Have a glass of iced tea. It's the perfect weather for iced tea right now, right here, wherever we are. We're here, and that's what matters.
How have you been? How is [insert person significant to you in some way]? Ha, wonderful. Oh, but that's not why we're here.
No.
No, we're here to take a long stroll down the years.
Remember all of those old times?
Remember when we had a sense of wonder over new things? All of the new shiny things, like toys behind the window in front of a child's eye, as the weather chilled nearing December? Remember when the Poly Grace came out? Shit was crazy. Shit was crazy.
Remember the first Console? The one with wood paneling on it? Remember the reliable Devi meltdowns? How cruel we were, as children, poking and prodding to elicit a response? The past is a cruel thing to recall. But let's not dwell.
Remember the old videos? The old relics still available on that hall of memories, YouTube? Remember watching our old pal Aen yelling at us about his new crazy thing? (Well, okay, I guess he still does, but remember when the video quality was rough, and yet, it didn't matter at all) Remember watching old PP add more stickers on his guitar through every new demo?
Remember getting mad at a man who was simultaneously an Uncle and a Grandfather because he bought All of The Nice Things, and wouldn't share with us? Sharing meaning selling, but regardless, thus is the spirit here, our joie de vivre being the constant FT post, the thrill of The Hunt.
Remember the quest for finding a PLLone? Oh, boy, do I. Have you ever played one of those though? Shit is like, unusable.
I wasn't here for this (and for that I am sorry, friend), but I went through the same, like a parallel life, forever linked across dimensions regardless of how much I tried to deny, but remember getting into capital E E U R O R A C K only to make a FS post three months later?
Remember being breauxs? What would you like to remember today?
It's so very good to see you.
