Hi guys

Not often I post a new topic here, but I was suitably inspired so figured I would share this.

This dude does some nice pedal reviews and plays nice ambient stuff. He had the idea to had a pad-style reverb up front of his regular chain.
It sounds really awesome, I think.

I have reproduced this approach using the following chain:

Boss RV-3 set to an almost infinate plate reverb > Lovetone Doppelganger phaser, set to very slow cycle > MN3005 dlx Memory Man > Line6 DL-4 set to reverse delay.

I never really experimented with pre-verb before, but its really very nice.

YMMV, thoughts?

I'm a big fan of running reverb first in the chain. Reverb -> Dirt is a great thing.

General gear is thataway!

But yeah pre-verb is amazing. One of my favourite pedals is the Industrialectric RM-1N because it's got verb->fuzz in one pedal. Beeaaaauitful sounds.

Infinate means 4 seconds, right?

I like it for certain applications.

I do too actually, but the decay is short and it was funny to hear someone call it "infanite" because it doesn't nearly go "infinite." 100% wet is killer, plus the glitchy delay loop stuff it can do. I have thought about acquiring it again. So many others I would like to try too. I have a love/hate with reverb, and often find I can just be as happy with using some short delay for shorter reverbs but I miss long decays sometimes.

Seconding the RM-1N as a great pre-fuzz reverb. I do a reverb sandwich myself (rm-1n > everything else > bitquest reverb). It's lovely.

I run my Holy Grail before my Big Muff and love it.

I run anything after and hate it.
