I made one of these for myself a while ago and a friend of mine asked me to make him a few. I've been getting into woodworking and now I can mix my favorite hobbies. Here's a link to the pictures.

My prototype had that but it doesn't need it. The padding is neoprene and it's kind of "sticky". Been using mine for months with my strat and haven't had a scare yet!

I guess the only thing those bottom-lip stands prevent is them being knocked off bottom-first, like by a dog or something. Let's face it, a toddler/clumsy adult is more likely to push it over by knocking the neck/headstock and the only thing preventing that is those neck-grabber stands.
