"Sorry buddy. Not really my problem"

What inspired this thread is a curious, yet common case of cognitive dissonance. AKA That's so TGP P&W!!
Motivated by this post and this one

Someone makes a costly error which benefits a person of faith.
This person of faith was attempting to be conscientious, yet is motivated by concern re: keeping up appearances for their congregation more than helping an unfortunate in need via act of charity (which could actually correct an honest mistake).
The person of faith claims their mission is to reach other anons in worship... when off stage they don't practice what they preach.

I struggle to understand individuals like this who've proudly lost the plot, and are so far out of the race they think they're winning. WTAF :whoa:

Of course. So many of those people are tremendous hypocrites.

I would greatly, greatly enjoy watching them try to actually abide by the Bible's rules :D

Inspired by a great poster I saw a photo of at one of the womens' rallies over the weekend:
"I'd call him a cunt but he lacks the warmth and depth."

It's P&W. You have people who have wrapped the way in which they perceive the world around some other person's interpretation of the desires of a really big pretend friend, of course they're going to be fucked in the head. Doesn't the basis of their operative function in the world hinge on it being full of bad people and needing to throw in on that perpetual battle or some shit (I'm trying really hard not to veer into the political lay of those rules, which is why I think that stuff has persisted this long).

I'll bet the counter guy forgot his Jesus™ jean jacket and was immediately counted amongst the ranks of the heathens, another win for God - and if guitar creep made a mistake it will be settled by higher powers. "Win Win"

Yeah, I try not to leave the Strictly FUZZ thread over there. I stay away from the P&W. :doom:

wow--did anybody call the guy out? Or is that not allowed over there? In any case, I think satan is sharpening his barbed dildo for that guy...

@DoS
:rofl:

@Chank
I people-watch in uncomfortable places, seeking foreign perspective I don't necessarily gravitate toward :idk:
Helps me increase my own self-awareness and work on the whole personal growth thing.

@aedes
Making this thread on TGP is a no-no. Users have been beaned for less.

Also @chank
Yeah it reads like something you might see on r/thathappened

Friend of mine worked for a church where a member of their board was actually an atheist that nobody knew about. He simply went to church because his family enjoyed it. He was valued in the board for his skills in accounting. Eventually they wanted to do something that was against his personal beliefs and he outed himself.

Maybe TGP OP just loves playing ambient swells in mega churches?

With our current political climate in trying to find hope anywhere....

if you need another try Proverbs 10:2

This stuff pisses me off, their is no common sense in the way many people practice faith.
