That's lame. I started skiing too, switched and I've been snowboarding for I guess 12 years. Whistler is probably the best place I've been but there's loads I still want to hit up.

I was pretty good back in the day. I think it's been 7 years.
The kids are old enough to sled now, so I might build a jump on the side of my house like we did back in the day.

Await the DoSman. He will partake.
I've always wanted to go, never been. Seems fun as hell.

I have no idea. It's one of those weird sports that is gratuitously expensive if you do everything cold, but has no real career opportunities either, so while "go to France" sounds good it's not really the "ride every weekend for little to no cost" that I'm used to.

Yeah that'll be an adjustment. At least air travel within Europe is significantly cheaper than travel within the US.

Nice board!
There's some indoor stuff that's decent, I've heard Scotland is OK and cheap but the weather is terrible most of the time. Easy to head up any weekend the conditions are good though, I keep meaning to do it but I've never managed to make it happen with my friends.
There's one lift in Cumbria which is much closer but you have to walk up most of the mountain first (6-700m climb) and the only good run goes all the way down.

Not for the lazy.
Mostly I go to France, it can be done for not ridiculous money, and there are loads of good resorts, but yeah not like living near mountains
And yeah as of today I have yawgoon bindings! Woo
