I know we've just received some harrowing news, and I don't want to detract from the gravity of that at all.
But I just read this and thought that if you need something to just, you know, take the edge off, just for a minute, this is pretty funny.

Because, you know, tragedy effects us all at some point.

i couldn't make it through all of the new album.
even though i thought hardwired to self destruct was a pretty alright track. it gets a bit more mid-tempo, slowed down, and it's boring.

Dude I haven't even bothered.
Metallica should have given up the struggle for relevancy somewhere in the mid 90s.

Imagine all the pedal designs we lost as a species?
And all those contributions to future Metallica records that Lars and James would have vito'd anyway?
Tragic loss to all mankind.

Can we fucking talk about this, though
Every time I pick up my guitar, I’m hoping I can write the next ‘Rock the Nation’ or something
.
Dude wrote the "Die By My Hand" riff in Creeping Death and he's trying to aspire to a riff that became an evolutionary dead end when Mudhoney wrote Touch Me I'm Sick?
Can you get CTE from spending 30 years headbanging in Metallica?

Yeah, I mean it is really easy to forget that there is some fucking great Metallica, AND that Kirk was a big part of that, but I'm gonna go ahead and say somebody doesn't feel like their contributions have been validated....

Yeah, or you can drink/coke/whatever your cognitive prowess away as well.
Honestly, I think it's just another effect of the bubble world they live in.

If I deteriorate to the point that I start thinking anything involving Sammy Hagar is cool I hope someone realizes it's time to shut the life support off.

Sammy Hagar is a dude and you idiots know it. Sure, he doesn't bring the party like DLR, but he is a rock n roller through and through.
