No human being who talks that much can be attractive.

All my social media has been blowing up with this crap. Even the guys. I tried to sit through a couple of episodes one time and couldn't make it.
This sums up my feeling pretty accurately:

Dunno--been avoiding it every time my wife has watched it so far. Pretty well-versed in the pre-revival stuff, having been dating her when she was super into it. I see how it might appeal to some, but it grates on my nerves like nothing I've ever watched before.

Me and a friend (my most talkative and neurotic guy friend) used to watch GG every Thursday or whatever day it aired, to the derision of our mates. Hey, some people actually don't mind girls that talk really fast and have family drama. Although the things they talked about were mostly tame as straight macaroni. Hash and beer (things that were def not part of the Gilmore universe) and early twenties feels probably made the show seem better than it was, but I remember those times fondly.
Watched the first two of the new episodes and they were pretty sweet, will shamelessly watch the rest tonight.

Wife has been watching it all weekend. I have sat through many seasons of many awful shows as my wife admittedly like some garbage TV. Gilmore Girls is no Buffy but isn't nearly as bad as something like the vampire diaries. Besides that Rory and Lorelei are/were adorable.

I liked it a lot. Watched it all yesterday because I have no self control. It delivered what I wanted out of it, which is just more of the same.

Yeah -- my wife woke up yesterday early with the baby and plowed through all 4 episodes.
the show grates me because it's the very definition of privileged rich peeps.
i don't care if it's accurately portraying how people speak with one another it's just vapid bullshit tv to me.

The wife's a fan, I absorb it by proximity. Sat through all 6 hours on Friday. I don't dislike the show (it's clever at times TBH) but the manufactured drama and immaturity surrounding the main characters is frustrating. Rory is a lousy person and none of them ever seem to learn from their mistakes.
I really should have my wife sit through all of Cowboy Bebop or something. To balance things out.
