Considering the approach has been to defund and otherwise fuck over the VA as a surefire way to prove that government doesn't work in an effort to garner votes on behalf of the political party that is seen as (and is, generally speaking) the military's preferred group of politicians, this doesn't come as much of a shock, sadly.
