Anyone have their Halloween custom sorted out yet? On the same note anyone playing in any cool Halloween cover shows this year? It's one of my favorite things to do on halloween but the past few years around here a lot less places seem to be doing Halloween cover shows, more dance nights or just nothing special.

Not what you're looking for, but I'll be working doing the broadcast mix for a jazz session at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola in Jazz at Lincoln Center. The Pedrito Martinez Group doing some Afro-Cuban Jazz. I'll be in a dimly lit control room by myself, so no costume this year.

I turn 21 on Halloween, not really sure what I'll be doing, most likely won't dress up either, unless I can get a few people and have some sort of theme.

Halloween is non existent here, to my sad because I think candy and scary stuff are cool. I'm probably staying home watching something scary so I can give candy to the few brave trick or treaters.

I'm being the Maschinenmensch from Metropolis, and I'm playing live Nintendo DS music.
In my town, Halloween is a big deal for the grown-ups. One of the art galleries puts on an annual multi-venue show where just about every local band plays as well as DJs and performance artists, so somewhere around 50 acts. 1 or 2 of them will play covers, but most are original. We have a population of about 100k, many of them rural, but over 4k regularly attend even though it's cold as fuck by the end of October and you see a lot of people wearing parkas and toques over their costumes. The bands later in the night will have audiences of 300-500, but I usually get stuck playing first to about 10 people. So later I take my battery-powered amp, trip out, and busk on the sidewalk beside some flaming-poi swinger or something for all the weirdos until my hands get frozen. I look forward to it every year!

No cool cover sets over here, but there are a few good shows I'll be hitting up. My girlfriend and I are going as Finn & Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time, except I'm going to be Princess Bubblegum and she's gonna be Finn.

Part of me wishes I had the enthusiasm to care about Halloween and going all out on making a costume but I don't.

I'm 34. I don't dress up for Halloween but my kids do. Not bagging on those who dress up. I'm mostly jealous.

GF goes all in on Halloween. Myself? I'm going to buy a few packs of gum and some eatable gold glitter...to cover the gum in. I'll be the man with the golden gum.

Apparently I'm working a Gwar performance on Halloween. That should be fitting.
