There aren't too many Dick adaptations I really enjoy. :idk:

Well, odontophobia, that's two good recommendations so far. :snax:

I'm sure the TV show is much different. That doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. Just look at Blade Runner :idk: and that's a classic.

The only one that I thought was really close to the book was A Scanner Darkly.

It's definitely different from the book, but it's entertaining. If BSG, Peeky Blinders, or Stranger Things is an A+, I'd give it a solid B.

I've been meaning to watch this, in fact I have it downloading now. I certainly enjoyed the book, so I bet I'll like the show too.

You guys've convinced me. Thank you. :!!!:

I think that's the only full episode that Amazon's uploaded to YouTube. I'm gonna wait to watch it until I have more time and I can find more of 'em.

This.
It was entertaining enough to binge, but I wouldn't call it quite binge-worthy.
It's alright, not amazing, but alright.

Also, there's nothing better than a crazy, old Hitler.

I can get behind these things.

We're watching a lot of X-Files at the house so once htat passes perhaps we'll be back on board.

It's just ok. The cinematography and world creation is great for the most part (some silly things like the Japanese text on buildings is gibberish).

Other than the lead bad guy that was in Knight's Tale a lot of the acting is pretty terrible and some of the dialogue borderlines on asinine. But it is well shot and some of the scene setups are nice.

However, I did enjoy it and it kept me interested throughout the whole season. I'll watch season 2.

Having read most of the PKD novels (even the drama ones like the one about being a dad in Southern California), I understand why it is so hard to make a PKD adaption...he wasn't the best at writing characters. So maybe in some way it is successful in representing his representation? Haha (I love Philip K Dick, but I don't read them for the beauty of dialogue....and I also don't think his structure necessarily translates to visual mediums...kinda like the way a lot is lost from comics when motion is added...just my opinion).

Basically, some bad acting.

Didn't read it, only saw the show. I'd say it was pretty good. Had some amazing moments and some angering moments so it was balanced.
