Yup....All over it. Totally immersive--almost overwhelming at times when think about the hugeness of it.

"Procedurally generated" shouldn't really be anything to boast about in my opinion. The 18 quintillion planets they have don't mean anything if they're all going to serve the exact same function: brightly coloured rocks teaming with life for you to harvest until you move on. I will be truly astounded if people are still playing this in 6 months, especially after Sean Murray just walked back on the "no paid DLC" promise.

Such an overhyped game. No substance. Just another subpar survival resource game. A semi-neat algorithm. Basically 10 different planet types. The animals are all made up with the same parts in different sizes and colors. Learn languages to understand generic sales talk from aliens. Upgrade your ship so you can show it to your friends in the game oh no you can't because Sean Murray lied about multiplayer. Music is pretty good though. $60 is ridiculous. I'm out.

i'm enjoying it thus far, but do think i'll get burned out on it fairly quickly.
also annoying as fuck that i went w/ the free exploration instead of the atlas. hmph.

Eh
I learned to avoid getting involved and sucked into Gaming controversies and outcries after Mass Effect 3, the anger always ends up being misdirected so it's easy to get carried off. NMS looks like a pretty okay, casual drop in/out sort of game but I have no investment - though I've grown up playing MMOs so grinding and management isn't a deal breaker to me. $79au is too much for me right now and i'm saving my coins for Deus Ex anyway.

i'm having a lot of fun with it thus far, actually tough to pull myself away...
it's pissing me off like mad though how i haven't gotten a goddamn atlas pass yet.
everyone online is saying if you go the free exploration route it'll still show up after like 4 or 5 warps and i've lost count of how many i've done (way more than that) and it still hasn't happened...

It looks so insaneāI really wanna play it. Disappointing to hear the reviews, though... it really just sounds pretty but boring. I don't have a PS4 but I'll probably pick up the new version when it comes out, because I've been pretty dissatisfied with the XBOX One, and I'll most likely grab NMS then because it'll be a lot cheaper. Too cool looking not to check out.
I wonder if this is becoming a thing these days, though. Same shit happened with The Division: teasers, gameplay stuff drooled over years in advance, only to end up a great looking but dull game. Disappointing to say the least.

i hit a planet today that was annoying as hell at first and then turned into the biggest money in the game thus far. totally harmless weather but shitloads of sentinals and they're all instantly pissed instead of just checking things out - but the whole place is COVERED in gravitino and vortex. i made 3 million in no time.

I can't wait for when the game is dirt cheap 6 months from now because everyone's moved on to the newest Call of Battlefield God of Grand Theft Superhero SportsSportsSports game.
It looked really promising and I was really excited about it when I first heard of it a couple of years ago but his answers really make me want to punch him in the face sometimes.
"So, like, what's actually in the game?"
"Well, y'know, everything."
Fuck you, man.
Unless there's a planet that's literally covered by Donald Trumps with nukes and walls or something then "everything" isn't an answer.
This entire time he's just been sidestepping questions and redirecting queries about anything substantial with "IT'S A HUGE UNIVERSE AND IT LOOKS COOL AND HERE, I CAN PEW PEW A FUCKIN' TREE."
It's cool, but I don't really think it's $60 cool, anymore.
I expect interest to burn out in 6-8 months just like in Destiny.

The concept was promising, but it still looks like the game was rushed (even though they avoided setting a release date for ever and then pushed back deadlines after that) and like they made short cuts just to get that bitch out into the world before interest disappeared.
