Re: Is it wrong to expect a box with purchase of a new pedal

Hmmm. Pretty sure I've gotten new pedals without boxes? As long as it's packed safely when it arrives, it's really not a hassle. When I have to wrap individual pedals up for travelling, I tend to use a shirt or some bubble wrap. Or just carry them in a plastic bag. :idk:

:idk: Your second post here on the forum makes you seems like a "poser and a crybay". :snax:

I don't think any of the pedals I've bought from Mark have come with a box. I didn't buy 'em for the box though.

Anyway, I hope things go better for you with your future pedal purchases.

First post actually, his other is an identical post in ILoveDoom.

No box should be expected unless the pedal builder specifies. It's a nice touch to include it; but it's just that, a nice touch. If boxes are so vital for you, you can buy them yourself. If you think they are too expensive, consider the builder may think the same thing.

The whole refund thing is a bit weird, but I'm pretty sure we're getting a highly biased post here. So who knows what we can read as hard truth or not. :idk:

Yeah, I noticed the identical ILD thread right after posting in this thread. :idk:

I'd also like to take this opportunity to point out that unnecessary cardboard boxes are bad for the environment. :D

Actually, a full transcript of those e-mails might be more entertaining that this thread is so far. :snax:

EDIT: LOL, here's out entertainment:

I saw Jean Claude Van Damme in person when he had the Guile Street Fighter haircut. He is short. All of the reporters were taller than him.

Yea, no box unless specified. Retailers add the boxes a lot of the time (seppuku and a few others). If you are ordering direct, I don't expect as much of a retail package. If I order parts direct from Fridgedaire/Electrolux for my dryer or a faucet from Kohler, they don't come in retail boxes (nor do most OEM or other products ordered direct from manufacturers). Heck, record labels dont sticker and vacuum seal records a lot of the time...all that is to distribute and make sales...if the sale already happened, what does it matter? Of course, if your packaging is part of the product (spaceman), then that is different. Pretty common across many industries to not have retail packaging in direct sales.

Man, I hope this this is a true non sequitur and reading the TGP thread doesn't clarify this at all. But it probably will.

Also, gave up on the TGP thread halfway though. I have been rightfully accused of some dad jokes in my time, but...yikes.

Still no mention of Guile, though. His theme song is running through my head now.

(Da da-da da-daaaaaah!)

Also, for the record, BBB shows 0 complaints against BAT.

Please make sure that you filed your complaint with them in a box, or they might have returned it.
