I'm guessing it's a short delay line. Maybe shorter than usual?

So, it has all the same controls as the Starlight v2 (Speed, Manual, Depth & Regeneration).

Looks like it might also have the same wave shapes (sine, triangle, square/triangle {?}, random {?}, 8 step & 16 step).

If that's the case why not put a delay time knob on the starlight?

Manual = delay time

It must have a different character of sound if all the controls are the same. Maybe similar to the difference between a BF-2 and an HF-2?

Well, that's not what I'm saying. Just using those two Boss flangers to compare how they sound different.

New SubDecay flanger has to be different sounding than the Starlight v2 though.
