I've always wanted an ECT, and this is the best reason to pony up for a brand new one.

We've worked with Boris for a LOOOOONG time, so when I heard Pink was being re-released I sent them an email and said "let's make a special pedal!" The design is by Boris (maybe just Takeshi? Not sure, he's the one I emailed with.)
Can't wait to get crackin on these, the enclosures are shipping to us like NOW.

What was the process like deciding on doing this pedal, over say, a special Shiva/She-Fuzz like Wata has? Was putting both circuits in the same box ever a thought?

We've had great success with special ECT's before (russian circles) so that was my first thought. The SheFuzz is discontinued, and wasn't really selling much after the name change, so I didn't even consider it until you brought it up.

Only flaw I can find is the ECT footswitches have always been a bit cramped for my pref. I'd personally like them better spaced more like - . -
The C&D threat/namechange malarkey re: the Shiva is something that bugs me in spite of never owning or using one...enough to entirely avoid that company's products
