I've been contemplating getting a tablet for my tabletop, but I'd love to hear what you guys are using and why. I'm especially interested in apps that work well live.

Personally, I'm looking at Android tablets, but leaving out iOS would be pretty silly I suppose.

Might want to check what people were thinking about iOS apps though as I think a few have been ported to Android.

I'm bringing my iPad to Norway. So if you play nice and say you only mildly dislike Apple, I'll let you play with the music apps

I hate to tell you this but if you're planning on music type apps, Apple is the ONLY way. Android doesn't have nearly half the apps as Apple. So I'd seriously consider looking into it.

Korg, Moog and several others have apps ONLY on Apple devices.

When I had an Android, I couldn't find dick. Even less with that wimpy Microsoft market place.

No SIM card needed!! I have an iPad mini and it's great! Wasn't that much either!

No SIM card needed. Get an iPad mini, the cheapest one. You won't regret it. Any serious Android tablet is gonna run you about the same price. Plus you don't have to worry about bloatware or the company randomly stopping update for your model - always what kept me from anything android. With Apple you know you've got 4-6 years of support in front of you no hassle.

Plus you can watch porn in the loo with it no one will know is so small.

I still have an original iPad. I don't use it for anything other than the occasional ILF and Animoog. I use Moog's Model 15 on my iPhone 6S Plus and my wife's iPad Air. I used to use OS X. I really like OS X buuuutttt I like games and OS X doesn't play as nicely with games (because video cards, bleh).

But the iOS music apps seem to be THE FUCKING WAY.

The ONLY thing that sucks is when they update the IOS too much and the apps aren't supported on your old ass iPad. Happened with my wife's recently. So annoying. Oh and I couldn't get the new Moog app I paid 30 bucks for on my iPad for the same reason. Weak as fuck!

Anyone here use the iPad Mini 2, for music apps?
IPad-GAS hit me because of this(and the old) thread, but I can't afford anything more expensive than the iPad Mini 2 right now.
