DIY CD Printing

My band is working on our first EP, and I have a definite plan for printing the case and putting it together, I'm stuck on how to print the CDs. We're trying to do just about everything ourselves, mostly because we want to do it for as cheap as possible. What have you guys done? Spray painting seems like an option, but some forums have people saying it gums up CD players, while other people say it what's they always do. Anyone have any experience with this? Or any other ideas?
