It was at the wrong house. Ask the neighbors.

Yeh I need to do that. I rang a few doorbells but no answers.

Was at the post office and I had to argue with them about whether or not it was there because I didn't have the slip.
"We need the slip to go and get it."
"I'd love to get you that slip but it doesn't exist because you didn't leave me one."
"Okay sir you need to calm down, if you don't have the slip we can't help you."
etc, etc
Wild fun.

As Casavettes awoke one morning from uneasy dreams, he found himself transformed in his bed into a gigantic insect-like creature.

Its happened to me a few times. I don't know if the mail person scanned it or something and left it in their truck, but it would usually arrive the next business day.

My old USPS guy would do that all the time. He'd scan it as delivered and leave it in the truck, then maybe leave the slip the next day.

I've had some truly crazy USPS stuff. Tracking is merely an estimate with them.
I had a package get lost for two weeks, just sitting in the system.
Then after the builder screamed at them, it magically started moving (tracking the whole time showed it as in the system and having left origin facility).
Then it went "overnight" 2000 miles. Said it was out for delivery.
It wasn't.
Got it a few days later somehow.
Glad I'd done business with the guy a few times before and knew he was good and would fix any issues, but still....stupid.

Ebayed a Grave Upheaval shirt, this exact thing happened. Still never got it.
Also had a bunch of packages get delivered to neighbors, or stolen from my doorstep. Too much fun, why did I ever move away from that meth lab neighborhood?
One time had a package get stuck in transit somewhere in colorado for several months, the seller took the hit and sent me another copy, which arrived in a week. Few months later (over half a year from original purchase) the original package arrived.

I've never had a problem here. The worst thing that's happened is that a Priority package has shown up in three days instead of two—which is still a shit ton faster than UPS or Fedex, usually.
Now the USPS in Brooklyn—that was a different experience.

Haha, where in Brooklyn were you? I have very (un)fond memories of standing in line with pink slips for all of my housemates.

I lived in Williamsburg and Greenpoint. The latter's post office was much better, but man... the Wburg office was down in the hasidic neighborhood and was utter pandemonium.
USPS pretty much won't leave a package anywhere in NY without a signature, so it's basically tons of people trying to pick up their packages, and a bunch of guys banging on closed service windows, trying to order passports in Yiddish. Constant insanity.

Just missed a pedal coming in as well because the sender required signature confirmation
The hours to pick it up are 10AM - 4PM.
Because no one would be working during those hours..
