Experiences with Orders from Perfect Circuit Audio?

Wondering if I'm entirely alone in this matter, though I noticed a similar thread from January 2016 on Gearslutz. I'll give a basic rundown of events up to today in a transaction that seems to still be in progress in spite of a current lapse in communication from PCA. Basically, I ordered a floor demo Sunsine Harmonic Decoder from PCA via Reverb approximately 2 weeks ago. It arrived quickly and more or less in the "mint" condition described aside from minor dings resulting from how it was packed and slight defects in the paint.

Cosmetic issues weren't my primary concern. The main problem was it continually oscillated with my rig, there was oscillation noise bleedthrough in bypass, and the tracking neared the point of being asynchronous with a guitar signal at all settings. I've been communicating with Sylvy at PCA via reverb messaging, who has seemed pleasant enough thus far. The pedal was postmarked back to them within the timeframe specified in their return policies, and notes were recorded on their end about the condition of the pedal upon arrival per Sylvy.

The pedal has now been sitting in their shop since 04/11/16 per USPS tracking info and confirmation of receipt by Sylvy. The last point of communication from them was 04/13/16 and involved reassurance from Sylvy that techs process returned items on a daily basis. We're now approaching the end of the first week after the pedal was returned to them, and there has been no further update. I also noticed that they lowered the price in the Reverb posting for the item in the last few days.

I'm not certain how streamlined their staffing pattern happens to be, but am starting to get a bit nervous about timelines and them honoring their return policy. I want to be a decent human being in this situation and hope PayPal won't have to become involved.

Dude it's because that pedal is a piece of shit. It does bleed and do weird shit. I found it totally unusable. I think that issue lies with the builder and not the supplier. I have their magnet on my front door. :)

Problem solved at this point with a full refund of original purchase price. Turns out the pedal was, indeed, defective. I'm still out return shipping, but I suppose them's the breaks ... and if nothing else, I learned that PLL synth pedals probably aren't for me and that PCA fully honors their return policy.

I'll have to figure out some place to put the magnet I kept.

Yeah, PCA are great. Extremely helpful, and offering some sweeeeeet discounts if you ask nicely. I live across the world, and still have always received my order within a week, which is faster than several local dealers. 8/8 they're gr8.

Either way you dodged a bullet. That pedal would be good, but needs some more work and I'm not sure the builder is willing to. LOL. There are SOOOOOOOOOOO many other PLL based circuits that sound way fucking better.

I've had good experiences with them. Cool gear. Wacky sales that last like a couple hours if you peep them often.
But...ssk for your money back for the shipping, If they sold you a defective pedal that was marked as functional, they should pay for the shipping.
