Ok so you guys need to chill the fuck out with pancakes. I get that they can be tasty but they are objectively inferior to waffles and crepes and beignets and ESPECIALLY french toast.

They are good for like two seconds then turn into sloppy syrupy garbage.

Waffles are much better because the way they are cooked hardens the outside to protect longer against the syrup. So if you're going to eat pancakes, just eat waffles. Unless you suck at the waffle maker. Then don't eat. And die.

Here, a pancake is more like a crepe. Thin, usually with blueberry jam. What you Americanos call pancakes would be a 'svele' in Norway, and they are way better than yr pancakes.

Don't even get me started on waffles.

But on the real, I saw a video recently where a guy put funfetti batter in a waffle iron and I almost funfetti'd all over my screen.

What is funfetti

They made like five "waffles" with it and put the icing in between the layers. Why I haven't bought a waffle iron since seeing that video is fucking way beyond me.

Sometimes I disappoint myself so much.

Plus make them thick. I feel like this is a no brainer.

They are breakfast food you typically put butter and syrup on. Waffles are made of the exact same material. This is the exact same sport.

What makes waffles great (besides the slight crispness) is their optimal surface area.

I like to mix in crushed up oreos with my batter. get it out and butter that fucker up. goes awesome with syrup or strawberry ice cream.

Still, the best pancakes I ever had were ebelskivers.
