dang, no one? think I'm going to pull the trigger on a slate tomorrow and use it as a reverb. I'm confused about the EXP jack tho, I've only seen 1/4" and 1/8", do I need an ethernet cable for this or what?

if you're going to use the ExP controller pedal, yeah.

so it's only for their controller, huh? I was hoping I could plug a copilot broadcast in there..

i have a mono wet reverb and it fucking rules, to the point where I am considering a slate to have a second one in stereo or also potentially tinker with the other options.

the ExP isn't an expression pedal though, it's a controller w/ expression inputs.
the older models either had expression input or a different connection for a controller...

received a slate yesterday and spent a solid few hours with it. cool packaging, maybe a little over the top. tried the hold w/ verb and most of the reverb algos. the verbs sound really fucking gorgeous, but it seems like the dry sits on top instead of being immersed by it. I can't get that deep cave sound without going like 80%+ wet mix and at that point I'm noticing a kind of dampening or perceived volume loss. I also realize not everyone slams their shit with 2 ods and a fuzz, so that might not be the case for anyone else's rig.. the trails are on point, fades out according to the depth. can get an infinity pad in bypass when it's maxed out  going to try the rest of the effects and decide what to do with it.. at this point tho, it hasn't tickled my reverb fancy

OK so I set the dry signal mix to unity dry signal and there is no longer a loss in volume  can't get 100% wet anymore but it's being slammed like a champ.. sitting under the mix so well happens to be part of that charm I guess :) PASS! :thumb:

it is kind of marketed toward a TGP and/or worship music kind of player. what do you wish it did? ate the dirt more cheerfully?

I was hoping it wouldn't volume drop. I discovered unity dry signal mode and that is no longer an issue :!!!: I am loving this thing now  the chorus sounds soo good as well as the detune with reverb. next step is an exp pedal so I can stop going back and forth between the computer

Yeah, it seems good, I know the Wet sounds great, does the Immerse do the hold thing as well?

Nope! That's the draw back of the immerse, no secondary functions. But I have a superego on board, so it's not that much of problem for me. :idk:

It's not marketed toward Worship/TPG, that's just the crowd that raves about it.
