I'm really not liking how common place attacks are becoming. Its really unsettling. Makes you realize how unsafe we all really are I guess. :(

If your and ILF member living in the area please check in here to let us know your ok.

Thoughts are with everyone dealing with the aftermath this morning....

So sad. I was starting to feel slightly positive about international affairs, what with the Syria partial ceasefire and whatnot.

This is exactly the narrative they want you to buy into. Not being sanctimonious, I mean, it freaks me out, too. I'm just pointing it out.

RIP to those in the attacks and man, I'm glad your cousin's okay.

thanks.

ultimately the real question is what about terrorism going on the daily, globally? not just these sporadic attacks in Europe?

That's definitely how I feel about it. Y'all know I am very far from being an SJW. But I do believe the media only really reports on it when white people are the prmiary victims.

EDIT: That is, in no way at all, to trivialize what happened today, because it is was, objectively, horrible.

It depends on your sources of news. Daily suicide and other bombings are reported. It just becomes the norm and it in a way becomes expected.

No one wants to address the elephant in the room: Islam. This shit will keep happening and people will keep supporting it: either by participating in it directly. Providing aid, or staying silent cause while they don't want to get involved in terms of action, they agree with it and allow it to happen by not speaking up about it. Thought there are those that may live in fear of would be terrorists and say nothing for fear of harm, which is understandable, and I feel bad for those people. If you believe a book is the word of god and said book tells you to kill non-believers....

This isn't all Muslims. There have been reformers and "heretics" that deviated from such an extreme/absolutist view, but they've often been silenced - imprisoned, killed. Islam needs a reformation.

This kind of crap is always so heartbreaking. Maybe one day people will learn not to be assholes.
