Step one is to learn to play like you're a sampler. Let the note ride out and abruptly cut it off.
Then apply a couple versions of the same PCM synth or sample with minor ASDR envelope changes, slightly pan them.
Downtune as needed.
Yell about Satan.
Mix in some fake harpsichord too.
Then you're there.
Rack units for flavor.
And back in my day, you didn't look at Billy Corgan or he'd ask you to either be in the band, to buy his shitty demo, or to open a show for him and sell tickets.

Can get it straight up with that unit if I want to. Can run it out as well. Or not.
There's not a huge amount of my cool shit effectswise in the box, but there's a ton of stuff and I know how to tweak it (and a couple routable GT-10 era engines in there with a pile of delay and options).
