In his defense you could say that about a lot of respected actors. Its because of the damn directors and movie studios.

I mean, Jon Cusack has played the EXACT same character in every goddamn movie he's ever been in, and yet people worship him.

Ditto for Nicholson, who tried as hard as he could to RUIN "The Departed"; thank god he failed.

Nicholson Probably should never have gotten another role after “little Shop of Horrors”
so they tried again in “the Horror” which should have sealed his fate. But no we got “Hells Angels on Wheels”.

Sadly they just kept bringing him back.

Hey Hollywood keeps making the same movie over and over again (Will Farrow any one) and it's what the public seems to want.

Brainless crap for the brainless.

"Stop talking about it."

I get where he's coming from, and I agree with is intent, if not the letter of his words. When I was like 8 or 10 my parents were talking about life expectancy, and some shit about how it was X years for white men and Y years for black men. I was like,

"why do they give different numbers there?"

adn my folks were like "becasue they're different."
And i said, "Obviously, but why don't they just do the average for alllllll the men?"
"Because there's a difference!"
"not if you don't make a difference..."
"no, see the life expectancy is different."
I guess when I started shooting over my parents head, that's when it all started going down hill.

Aww c'mon he was great in Adaptation! Other than that, I see your point. As for Will, he's done enough hilarious movies to make up for the crap he gets into sometimes IMO.

I also, love Morgan Freeman. I think HE should be the president of the US.
...Please don't YOU die, Morgan :(

acting like races don't exist is worse. (although, arguably anthropologically they don't, but the consequences of race are very real. for cultural and most other purposes, race exists.)

black people have higher rate of death from disease such as cancer and heart disease. combined with blacks also having less access to health care, it is VERY worthwhile to see a numerical breakdown by race. it's really not as simple as 'well, we're all people so we all should live the same amount of time.' i see where you're coming from, but from a statistical standpoint they should have a national average (which they do) and a breakdown by race (which they also do).
