Anyone into live visuals/VJing? Advice needed!

My band is thinking about adding live visuals to our live shows when we start touring with our new record in April.
We're planning on using two video projectors, projecting on two frames/sheets/canvases(80x80 cm). One on each side of the stage.
I think got control of the hardware, but I got no idea what software to use.
I need a software that can do:
-play video-loops of different lengths.
-let me trigger loops with a midi keyboard.
Bonus:
-lets me add transition-FX when changing video loop. Fade from one loop to the other etc.
-does mapping(not that import, but it would be nice to just be dependant on one software, not two.)
And if anyone got experience and got tips on what to do(or not to do) it would be much appreciated.
