BREAKFAST

once upon a time i was a cereal junkie, then i went to college and barely ate, then i graduated and became a coffee addict who cooked eggs & toast & veggie bacon & stuff like that all the time... now i'm working nights and have a hideously erratic sleep schedule and barely ever feel like coffee and/or breakfast. kinda sucks...

anyway, share breakfast stuff you love! i'm about to force feed myself eggs over easy & whole grain white toast. and will be happy that i have.

(yes i know there's gotta be a ton of breakfast threads on here. sorry.)

Breakfast is my favorite meal by a long shot. I love pretty much all of it.

Breakfast food is the best, during breakfast or otherwise. Top breakfast food is eggs benedict or bagel with cream cheese and lox. But those are treats. When I have time (almost never) a more normal breakfast is eggs scrambled with spinach, potatoes, maybe ham, and a couple slices of tomato avocado and fresh mozzarella on the side.

I almost missed my plane this morning, so I had none and I'm really regretting out

I love that you get breakast in america. They take it seriously. They actually open places up crazy early and treat it and the people who like to eat hot breakfast with the respect it deserves. Over here in the UK, you can have early access to the cold selection of packaged lunch food if you're a burglar or have a letter from the queen.

I should clarify I guess because I don't eat breakfast before 1pm usually that it's just 'first meal of the day' for me.

I mean, there's probably loads of places that do awesome early cooked breakfasts scattered around, but I imagine most of them involve having to be a truck driver.

You sure you're not Swedish?

Same here, unless you live in a fancy part of Stockholm. Which you wouldn't want to do, not even for the breakfasts.

But god damn I love breakfast.
Eggs benedict (sometimes trad, sometimes a la suédois with gravad lax) croissants, muesli, avocado on toast, bacon... Mmmmmmmm

But normally I just go crazy on cereal and muesli (with fil, kinda halfway between buttermilk and yoghurt).

And coffee.

So much good coffee...
